By 2018, it is estimated to have 23 thousand 167 hotels with 833 thousand 854 rooms, with increases of 5.5 percent in establishments and 4.9 percent in rooms. The federal official aboun that in 2019, the expectation is that the number of hotels will increase by 5.8 percent and rooms by 5.4 percent, which will give a total of 24 thousand 515 hotels with 878 thousand 507 hotel rooms. In the Assembly of the AMHM, Juan José Fernández Carrillo assumed the presidency.
